Introduction
Methi Patata is yet another Sindhi recipe under the
influence of Potato, the staple Sindhi Food, which is used
in this recipe as a major ingredient. |

Precaution
This is most essential to have Methi leaves fresh
otherwise you will not be able to enjoy the taste to its
fullest. |

Ingredients
Fresh Methi [fenugreek] leaves 1 small bunch - Potatoes
2 - Ginger and Garlic paste 2 tsp - Green Chillies 2-3
pieces - Tomatoes 2 [small] - Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp -
Coriander powder 1/2 tsp - Salt to taste - Oil 1 tsp
[Medium]. |

Preparations
wash Methi in fresh water, pick the leaves and leave the
steam apart, chop the leaves to medium size. a few
people Peel & Cut the potato in smile cubes and half fry
before using. Chop tomato and green Chillies. |

Cooking Process
Take chopped Methi leaves and Potato in pressure cocker
and half boil them. Take out Potato peel them and make
small pieces.
Take oil in fry pan add Garlic and Ginger paste with
half boiled Methi leaves and Potato cubes, heat on soft
flame till Methi changes color.
Add chopped tomatoes and green Chillies, salt, dry
masala and stir fry for some more time, add some water
and wait till Potato get fully boiled.
Serve hot with Phulka [Roti]. |
