Religious Faiths : Sant Nirankari Mission : Baba Hardev
Singh
Nirankar blessed third successive generation of Baba
Avtar Singh for being the spiritual leader and path
guider for the common men as on the day of
23rd February
1954 at Delhi, Rajmata Kulwant Kaur, wife of third
Nirankari Guru Baba Gurbachan Singh ji, have given birth
to male child, who was named as "Hardev" and went to
become the spiritual master for millions and millions.
Early childhood of the kid was cared by grand parents
Nirankari Baba Avtar Singh & Jagatmata Budhwanti Ji,
both of them not only showered their worldly but also
spiritual knowledge & powers upon the young Hardev,
hence the growing kid at very early age learned about
serving the humanity and guiding the masses on the roads
of being unanimous with Nirankar - the unborn un shaped
God.
After being taken the elementary education Hardev was
send to Rosary Public School at Nirankari Colony Delhi
and in 1963 to Yadvendra Public School - a residential
school at Patiala. During the days of schooling beside
being the scholar student Hardev developed an interest
for photography, mountaineering, horse riding & skill
-full vehicle driving and passed High school examination
in 1969.
While taking college education at Delhi University
Hardev have shown a keen interest in Sangat & Seva and
in 1971 joined the "Nirankari seva Dal" as primary
member by this time his humility has made him famous as
"Bhola Ji" [innocent person]. This was 1975 which shaped
him as friend, philosopher and guided for the masses as
he organized "Youth Fourm" focusing on promoting
truthful & simple living, service with devotion & love.
In the same year during the Annual Nirankari Sant
Samagam at Delhi he got married with Sawinder Ji [Born
on 12-01-1957] daughter of Smt. Madan Ji and Shri
Gurumukh Singh Ji [native of farrukhabad U. P.] in a
very simple ceremony. After the tragic death of Sat guru
Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji on April 24, 1980, Bhola ji
started looking after the Nirankari sangat and asked
devotees to show tolerance in accepting verdict of
destiny with peace and calm of mind.
Baba Hardev Singh Ji Maharaj ruled out even the remotest
thought of vengeance saying that 'it would go contrary
to what Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji lived and sacrificed his
life for'. He exhorted devotees to carry on his message
of compassion, goodwill, love and Truth and pray for the
welfare of one and all. The result was quite
instantaneous and healthy. Nirankaris remained non-
violent even in the face of serious provocations from
miss-guided fanatics and extremists.
Baba Hardev Ji took the expansion of peace, love,
universal brotherhood and Nirankari ideology as personal
commitment hence an extensive tour was planed for
various Indian cities and abroad as in views of Baba ji
this will also work as the medicine for the Nirankari
wounds caused due to tragic death of Baba Gurbachan
Singh Ji.
Today after 28 years, the foundation stone laid down by
Baba Gurbachan Singh Ji is most beautiful humanity
serving building in the form of Sant Nirankari Mission
and this is all the way humble nature and co operative
attitude of Baba Hardev Ji, working as the instrumental
for this grand success. As per the will of Baba Hardev
Singh Ji various centers of Nirankari Mission in all
parts of globe are organizing "Blood Donation Camps" on
"Manav Ekta Divas". Decentralization is yet another
success of Baba Hardev Singh Ji, today Nirankari mission
have 24 sectors in Delhi and country is divided into 36
zones, this has increased participation of devotees in
the activities of the mission. Considering the high
pollution of Delhi Baba Hardev Singh Ji decided to build
"Santokh Sarovar Complex" with 5-acre reservoir of neat
and clean water and another 20 acres of lush green lawns
with rows of beautiful flower plants.
Among the religious Panth of Sindhis most probably Sant
Nirankari Mission is leading from front in aspect of
internet presence and having a web site from where
devotees can have the information about the future but
also can look into past with archive section, besides
that various Nirankari literature is also available for
online reading. |
